Title: Child support question for Indiana
Post by: whippertizzy on Feb 18, 2004, 01:00:07 PM
As some of you might have noticed on the custody board, my husband is working on a joint custody agreement.  The mother wants stipulated in the agreement that neither party pays either party child support. In fact here is how it is worded

"That the parties shall not deny parenting or custodial rights due to a refusal to provide said financial contribution. Each parent is solely responsible for any financial expenses of said child during each parent's custodial period. Neither parent shall have a child support obligation to either parent. "(there is a bit more to it, but thats the meat of it)

Now here is my question. The mother lives in Indiana. A friend told me that Indiana will force a child support order anyway, something about their state laws.  Anyone Know anything about this? I can't find anything about it.
