My friend was recently ordered to pay child support and he doesn't have money for a lawyer so I'm trying to help him out a little. His ex-girlfriend lied about her work income and didn't claim the child support she receives from her other kid's father. They also have him listed as making more than he actually does. He called the number to request a court date but they told him those weren't reasons for a court date. Does he not have a good case?
what state?
Florida
I would think that he could go down to the court house and file a motion. They can't deny someone the opportunity to go to court.
Also, he should be able to object to the amount set by CSEA and then they will take him to court to get it set. this is where he can present his evidence.
