Title: Custody agreement FL CS agreement IL jurisdiction
Post by: wallyworld85 on Dec 05, 2003, 04:16:35 AM
Just wondering.... I have a court order from IL for cs AND custody.  I went to custody in IL when my daughter visited me for an extended period of time due to abuse allegations against my ex.  My lawyer messed up and because my daughter hadn't lived here for 6 months my ex got her back (she only lived here for 5months).  We are in the process of getting a visitation mod swithced to  FL guidelines AND she tried to get a CS mod to FL guidelines but realized she couldn't so settled to have IL modify it.  My origainal IL decree states that she pays half of all uninsured medical.  She hasn't paid any.  Would I go to IL or FL to have her in contempt?

Dear Sir:

If your court order was entered in Illinois, then an Illinois court could have your former spouse held in contempt of court.  When your former wife is found to be in contempt of court, it is MANDATORY that she reimburse you for your attorneys fees.

Please contact me or any one of my attorneys to further discuss your issue.  You can reach me at:  312-987-9999.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very truly yours,
