Title: Reduction of parenting time in IL
Post by: sir_psycho_sexy_BAD on Feb 20, 2006, 12:29:23 PM
What are some good defenses to use against a CP who is seeking a reduction in parenting time in IL?  I presently have two full weekends plus two Saturdays.  She is petitioning to take away the Saturdays.

Honestly it's hard to say becuase you didn't give any details.

For example:
1. How many children do you have with her and how old?

2. What is your ex's reason for wanting to reduce time?

One child, very early teen.

Says he doesn't get enough time with her, or with his friends.

He can spend as much time with his friends as he likes, I have never stopped him....also with regard to her time, she gets 24 days to my 6.

I would say a good defense is a homestudy report and forensic evaluation report that might comment positively about the relationship you have with the child.  Would you rather have the Saturdays then a day during the week?
