Title: what happens when a child is not 18 years of age
Post by: virtuous on Jan 28, 2004, 11:40:53 AM
but has dropped out of high school and is obtaining a GED.  Does child support continue?

Is the custodial parent under any obligation to let child support know if for some reason the child is not in his/her custody for a period of time?

If so what consequences are there if he/she does not let child support know that the child is/was not in his/her custody?

May I suggest that you post this under Socrateaser's forum!  :)

I can't answer your question, but I'd bet that child support continues until age of 18.

My question would be...was the child LEGALLY in someone else's custody?
