Title: "Boys Are Stupid" suggestion.....
Post by: msme on Jan 20, 2004, 08:00:38 AM

I just spoke with our School Superintendant & told him about it. He said that he would notify all principals in his district & inform them that any child wearing any of these shirts will be sent home.

I hope everyone will call their superintendent now.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression!

I did the same yesterday.  I found out our school district doesn't allow T-shirts with print in the school.

Nonetheless, I made them aware that this "slogan" is also on lunchboxes, hats and key chains.  They said they'd make the administration aware.

and told them that I felt these shirts were a form a sexual harrassment against boys and to please ban them.  I certainly don't want my son exposed to this every day.  Principal said that she would talk to superintendant.  We live in a rural district with one k-12 school.  1 principal and 1 superintendant.  Hope it helps!!

Sometimes you're the windshield

I wrote to Glenn Sacks & told him about calling the school Supers & he loved the idea.
I hope everyone is doing this. Don't only call your own district, call all the surrounding districts.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression!

They should be sent home!  Each school has their own little "dress code" type deal...I know my kids can't wear bandanas that are blue or red...or heck, any "gang related" color.  They can't wear those "do it" shirts, either.  Why not have a ban on violence promoting shirts as well!!!

I received my kids schools accountability report recently.  On it is the web address where I can get the address and phone number for EVERY school in Colorado.  Each state probably does have a listing like this.

Looks like i"m gonna be pretty darned busy, eh???
