Title: 15 y/o SD finally visiting
Post by: pennyrwalker on Mar 04, 2005, 09:57:19 AM
I posted about my 15 y/o SD finally coming to visit after 18 monts. My question today is about that sorta! I talked to the 10y/o SD's therapist and told her about the phone conversation my husband had w/uBPDxw about the 15y/o. Therapist asked if we had money for an attorney. Previously as I posted before, CPS found "no neglect or abuse" and attorneys have told us it is a moral issue, she hasn't done anything bad enough, etc. I do not understand what we need to do in order for the attorney and/or judges to see the emotional and verbal abuse as well as alienation these children are suffering?!?

Apparently if the therapist is asking this question, you might want to reverse some questions to the therapist.  Maybe the therapist is seeing something that he/she can aid you with.  Wouldn't hurt asking, that is for sure.

I would have to agree. Talk to the therapist regarding his/her concerns.

AND remember in this wonderful country we live in, a person will get in more trouble with the law/courts IF they neglect an animal, than a person would if neglecting their chidlren.  Sad sad sad.

SD finally came. Even after calling last night to say she wasn't coming!! My husband was abl;e to talk her into coming. We p/u at 9am, when she walked out she looked mad but when she opened the car door my husband said"don't smile now" and of course she cracked up. It was all fine from then on out. We got to our house and she played with her sisters like it was old hat! We went shopping and out to lunch. She had a great time. We took her home at 5pm. We didn't have any deep conversations but we did ask if she would come again and she said yes!! Her uBPD mom tried again to alienate her from my husband but we called her bluff this time. I will keep ya'll updated.

Penny,

That is great many times they dont want to come or dont think they want to until they are actually at that parents house.

Glad to hear you all had a good visit.
