Title: Custody/Visitation
Post by: richkat on Nov 13, 2009, 06:17:05 PM
I have a 3 yr old daughter who is in the custodyof her mother. Custody was given to her mother by a judge in Indiana. My daughters mother claimed that my then girlfriend was an unfit care giver, and that I had supposedly moved to Texas 5 times. Since my daughters mother has gained custody she has denied me regular visitation times with her, her mother has moved 10 times in the past year, and has used my ex-girlfriend as a sitter when she has needed one, and posted pictures of herself drinking online (under 21) and in a drag bar, as well as claiming to have had her father pull a gun out on her and her friends. I had my daughter this summer for almost the entire 3 months because her mother asked my wife if we would continue to keep her till she had a place, and we said absolutely. We filed a petition with the court for a change of custody since my daughters life is so very unstable with her mother, but when her mother and I went to court the judge dismissed everything including that she had moved 9-10 times in the year. The jude stated that people move sometimes, and that there was no problem with my ex sitting for her even though that was part of the origional complaint against me. PLEASE HELP
The court papers state that each of us is to have the child on our respective birthdays and she said there was no reason for her to make the baby come for our visit.
