Title: Hotel costs

My sons dad told me that he will start taking his visitation, but that he will only be able to take them if he stays in a hotel and if I pay the cost, for the hotel. I told him I cannot do that, what is your advice?

I'm thrilled to hear that you will be starting your visitations in accordance with the court order and investing emotionally in your son's life.  How you decide to do that and the cost of such is your responsibility.

He's setting you up to blame you for his failings.  It's just that simple.  "Gee, Son, I'd love to spend time with you but your mom won't (pay for hotel, drive halfway to meet me, etc).  It's all her fault."
