Title: How do you dismiss a contempt motion?
Post by: spinner on Aug 03, 2005, 09:37:00 AM
Hi,
Filed a contempt motion on my ex to get informations from her.
Judge sent us to mediation before the evidentiary hearing.

I am just wondering if we both come to an agreement.

How do I dismiss a motion for contempt ?

(we are both pro-se)

When you two come to an agreement whether using the mediator or not, you'll file a "Joint Motion to Implement a Parenting Plan" and that will automatically cancel out the "Contempt Motion" and stuff that got you ordered to mediation in the first place.

The Mediator "might" actually have "pre-printed" forms or can help draft the "Joint Motion".....in our county, there were pre-printed forms to fill out that could be submitted jointly.

Right now you don't "Dismiss the motion for contempt" at all and it just sits there.....waiting for mediation to finish.

Good luck!
