Title: State-Mandated DNA testing at birth
Post by: stepmalla on Feb 27, 2006, 05:28:10 PM
I would support it, given conservative estimates of 10% of men who think they are fathers -- and who are held accountable for child support -- are not actually the father.  Meaning the biological father is off scot-free.

I think if the state required DNA Testing, it would make it harder for innocent men to be victimized.  The fathers of children could be reassured that they were indeed the father -- without having to demand the test, which would place them in a bad spot with the mother and family members.

Anyone else support this, and where can we go to support it being legislated?

With so many single parents, and people being unfaithful and one night stands, I agree.  I am sure their are lots of ncp paying cs for a child who is not biologically theirs.
