Title: Is there anyone who can help?
Post by: tdhorton on Nov 15, 2006, 09:32:49 PM
My son has been kidnapped by his mother and I don't know where he is. It has been almost a year since I last saw him. I beat her false restraining order and her attempt to suspend visitation. I obtained full custody, I have a felony warrant for her arrest. But the situation is that the police took 3 months of sending paper work back and forth to hear something very vaque. I have had no legal help (no lawyer) and I am on disabilitie so the chances of obtaining council is low at best. does anyone out there know any lawyers that will work pro-bono. I feel that the police will never find him.

thank you,
tdhorton

There is probably some legal service in your area that can assist you.

Do you have ANY reason to believe that the child may have been taken out of state? If so, I'd call the FBI since they get involved in kidnappings which cross state lines. In fact, I think that the rule is that once enough time has elapsed that the child COULD have been taken out of the state that they will get involved.

Of course, a great deal of time has elapsed. That may work against you in getting them involved.
