Title: Interrogatories ignored - impact?
Post by: maxwell on Nov 25, 2003, 06:41:40 AM
Soc,
  Thx for previous reply!

In October we sent the first set of interrogatories to BM (defendent). She has since ignored them and missed the deadline (30 days) for providing the information to us. Her attorney was sent a reminder (as required by law here in SC). (He has since lost touch with her after her eviction, and actually may be asking to be removed from the case.)

1.  How does this affect the case? It appears to me that she has complete disregard for the court system and is trying to impede our preperation for the final hearing. Is there any impact on her (e.g., can she be held in contempt?)?

2. Any suggestions on next steps?

Thx!
