I'm looking for information about my wife's debt and what my responsibilities will be once we are divorced. Here is some quick info:

We are getting a non-contested divorce after five years. We have two children. My wife works part time and goes to school full time. I have always worked full time and supported the family.

My wife has pulled out several student loans in the last year or so. I know that she is looking into take advantage of single-mother grants from the government once we get a divorce.

If she decide to do this, will the state come after me to pick up the tab on the government student loans?
