No my family has been the victim too. I know there are others so lets come together and fight for our rights.

Hate to tell you but I know from experience the legislators and other government entities don't care. They put your letter aside. We need to come together and demand reform and justice.

They will require a 3 bedroom. A living room is not considered a sleeping space so my attorney claimed..

I have more time available now to go in detail so here we go. My family ( my boyfriend and our two daughters and I) were travelling during a series of back and forth trips related to the death of my grandma and other family matters. We took our diabetic daughter to a hospital along the way because she complained her finger was bothering her. She had previously injured that finger on a luggage cart that was not put together properly at a hotel. Being that she was diabetic we took her to be seen as precaution. The doctor checked her out and said she was okay even after doing an A1C to check her sugar levels/maintenance. He then proceeds to tell us he would keep her overnight for observation (contradictory eh?) We obided in the best interest of our daughter but they proceeded to not put her in a regular room. Rather they rolled two cots in the pediatric waiting room for the family to sleep on (this ER was not full at the time). The nurse neglected to give us ice for her insulin to stay cool despite many requests and the cafeteria was closed so in the morning they had a taxi ready for us (keep in mind we drove there) saying that they made provisions for us to replace her insulin due to.the issue the prior night with the ice. With a backup script handy which I kept for an emergency always, we thought it was nice they were going to have us escorted to a pharmacy since we did not know the area although it didn't make sense at all. The cab driver began getting on the higjway so we proceeded to inquire our destination knowing there just had to be a pharmacy closer by than a hwy route. He proceeds to tell us he was bringing us to salvation army. We were absolutely livid! We told him to turn around but he said he could not because the hospital paid for the trip. We offered to pay him to take us back but still he would not. When we finally get to salvation army we explained to the woman what happened and she was clueless as were we as to why we were there and proceeded to tell us the hospital tends to "throw people off on them" often. After her frustrating conversation with someone at the hospital she directed us to a county hospital one block away which had a pharmacy in it. Upon arrival I speak to the pharmacist and since all seemed well my boyfriend went back by taxi to the other hospital to get our vehicle. Shortly after he leaves the pharmacist tells me they cannot ill an out of state prescription without an override by a hospital social worker. Innocent, right? This lady seemed quite helpful and friendly until the mess really hit the fan. I'm going to cry so I will stop here for now. Crazy how therapeutic this is for me right now.

Custody Issues / Re: eviction

First I would like to say (as a mom) that I am apalled at the idea of tryithng to work against the mother of your child but with that over with no her eviction will not work against her as long as she has somewhere to bring her kids. If you decide to proceed as suggested then bring a letter from her landlord. I think (not sure) these hearings are public record in some states so you may be able to get more documentation. Either way, best of luck to you.

I am looking for other families who have also had the horror of being victimized by CPS or DFACS. I do believe there is a need for such agencies however they are now going over board. What happened to having a fair trial and an investigation? My children were taken with no signs of abuse (because there was no abuse), no neglect and even the worker at the hospital was on our side when talking to the  agency worker. Many crazy details involved but I would like to speak to other families that are going through this in hopes of bringing attention to this and getting resolution!
