Dear Dr. Holstein,

Although I was originally notified of this show by the Glenn Sacks mailings (http://www.glennsacks.com/pbs/index.php), I was pleased to see your posting on the SPARC (//www.deltabravo.net) website.

I have sent out mild emails (straight from Glenn Sacks website) of protest to PBS as I don't feel that any stronger protest will help in their eyes, but as a custodial father in Massachusetts, I felt I was victimized by an unbelievably biased court system only to have PBS libel me with the claim to the effect that 'most all Fathers who win custody are batterers'.  Perhaps there exist additional venues of protest that might be useful in this case.

1.  I further resent that I as a taxpayer am paying for this television show which I understand violates their own ethic rules requiring fair, unbiased and accurate reporting.  Are you aware of any disciplinary action that is being taken in this case?

2.  I would like to obtain the transcripts for this show as I was totally shocked by what I thought I was hearing and feel that I need to make sure that I have the statements correct.  Are you aware of any actions for libel that are being initiated?  Reluctant as I am to approach the courts of all places to seek justice, I feel that this may be an attack that I can ill-afford to ignore.

Thank you for taking the lead in protesting this outrage.

Father's Issues / RE: LOOKING FOR AN ATTY

I am guessing that you are working with either the Haverhill District Court (Haverhill) or the Essex County Probate & Family Court (Salem).

Although I have close to ten years experience, it is in Middlesex and Suffolk Counties.  I found that there was a real advantage to working with somebody who is seen as an 'insider' and is in the court in question almost every week.  They know the GALs (if the issue is PAS, the Judge will be hostile if anybody other than a GAL tells her so), the DSS, the schools, etc.

I went through multiple atorneys over an extended court battle.  The big name who wanted a huge retainer then turned the case over to an associate who was an idiot.  Eventually, a recommendation that I got in church resulted in an excellent attorney who took the case after it had been screwed up for years.  F&F has probably the best database of father-friendly attorneys in Massachusetts.  I will post the url for their website below.  In the end, you will have to interview several to find one that matches your case.

Congratulations!

I've also been away a lot, but I fully understand how devastating the delays and ambushes can be.  Glad to see you coming out the other side.
