Thanks, it is so nice that others really do understand.  Close friends and family think that we are taking this too far.  Is there such a thing when it comes to your kids?...BUT, DH had to go to the DOL today and we happened to get the guy I got last time and he remembered me.  I asked him about her driving history and what can we do?  He gave us the number to our DOL in Olympia (the big dogs;) ) He also suggested that we call CPS becasue of the concern of safety of SD, anyone have any thoughts on this???

It is absolutely absurd to me that it is okay for these people to be ALLOWED to drive without a license.  It is more absurd to me that this BM has 32 OPEN (unpaid) CASES!  32! and she is still able to not only drive, but even when she does get pulled over it is just another ticket!  In our case she actually takes SD to court with her and then lies to her about what court is about, because it is NEVER EVER her fault!  uuuggghhh!!!

The police will do NOTHING!  "not enough man power"  The dept. of licensing will tell us nothing!  You know the usual "it's confidential"  so her privacy is protect, but our SD is not protected from this person!!!  Any other suggestions will be VERY helpful!!!

WA is finally adding new resources.  We still don't know if she has her license or not, BUT we did find out she had court today and court on 8/30 for 2 more criminal, 2 more non criminal and 2 more traffic tickets? This will make 32 open cases!  UNREAL and again we are unsafe!!!  Anymore ideas, please let me know!!! Thank you~all.

Child Support Issues / Does anyone know?

We are in WA.  Our BM has 9 pages on her driving record.  She has an extensive history of no insurance, hit and run, following too close, speeding in a school zone, no seat belts, filing a false police report, etc.  There is NO way she can pay all of the fines and she fails to go to court.  Her license should be suspended.  How do we find out?  When DH asked her if she had a valid license, she called yelling and swearing and told DH "it is none of your gawd damn business if I do or if I don't have a license!"  We sure would be in court if it was one of us that was in question!  Do we have to continue to let SD go with her knowing how horribly unsafe and irresponsible she is???  The kicker is that she states in all of her declarations that WE don't care about SD's safety!

While I am not on the count down yet, :)  I truely can't stand that CS is spent on trips for mom to go to Vegas and new tattoos, etc. Yet SD doesn't have clothes or shoes that fit...

Child Support Issues / RE: ON the other side...

I would definate "light the fire" and if supervisors need to be involved to get this done, then so be it!
For me it isn't necessarily that we need the money, I just feel like if it can afford my daughter to do things that I may not be able to afford, or something extra that she wants, so be it.  I guess it just makes it easier.
My x is similar to your's.  He has a "daughter" in name sake for appearance purposes.  It's almost comical if it wasn't so sad, he used our daughter to cheat on his women.  She would be his excuse to not be with one so that he could be with another.  As a matter of fact, he has 3 more children that were all born within a 6 week oeriod of time!
My DH has been around since she was 1 1/2 and that is all she knows.  She has told her "dad" that DH is "my real dad"  we do continue to instill in her that he is her dad and for whatever reason he isn't able to be her "dad" right now, but hopefully someday!  We let her make her own decisions based on her observations not on our comments!
I feel their pain though!  It is such crap, who is the adult?  It is like grow up and get over yourself!...

Keep on CS!, NC child support is similar to ours.  You have to hound them to get anything done!  I also found this web site for you...http://www.dhhs.state.nc.us/dss/cse/geninfo.htm
Good Luck!

I feel you!  My DH pays his child support every single month.  He is fighting BM tooth and nail to spend time with SD, and she still fights him on EVERYTHING.  She frequently requests a change in visitation and he agrees, he requests a change and it is a flat out no.
My x doesn't see my daughter at all.  He doesn't call either.  The state has finally started garnishing his wages, but he works in a school district that doesn't get paid in the summer, so she gets nothing.  The kicker is that he works in the summer, he just doesn't claim it and CS won't do anthing because it is "temporary", okay, who cares?  Isn't taking care of our children a permanent job???
