You can always file for an emergency hearing. Whether it is doing you any good is a different story.

Why does his attorney refuse to file for an emergency hearing?
Is there already a pending case? If so, what does it say about moving the children?

Father's Issues / Not much news

I talked to her twice, she was extremely calm and non-confronting.
She said both times that he can come see her if he wants to, but leave it totally up to him. She was OK with every other weekend or something similar.

So he is thinking of going to her this weekend from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.

He already told me that if she gives him a hard time about it, he'll tell her instantly that he wants to go back to me.
So we'll see what happens for now.

For a moment I was wondering why #3 and #5 only talk about fathers, and not about mothers.

But then I remembered; these petitions are about MONEY, and mothers are never required to pay for their children.

How could I forget...

Father's Issues / RE: Need advice or support

From your story I believe that supervised visitation is justified.

Did you file for a protective or restraining order on the boyfriend?
And you can do the same for the mother. If she is a threat, then a protective order is the least expensive solution to keep her away from the child.

If the courts do not support you in supervised visitation, you can consider to move away with the child, or to offer the BM money in exchange for her visitation.
If $ 25 or $50 every other weekend can buy you peace of mind and keep your daughter safe, it's money well spent.
Druggies will do anything for "free" money.

One clean drug test will not help her.

What is going on during her parenting time that you want it to be supervised? Keep in mind that supervised parenting time is a very derogatory way to spend time with your child.
You will likely stand a better chance to ask for supervised visitation with monthly or quarterly drug screenings. Insist on a hair test, not a p. test. Hair tests show drug use for up to 3 months. If  she has a negative hair test, then she could have unsupervised visitation.

On the other hand, as long as she isn't doing druge or is high whilk your daughter is with her, a judge may not see this as sufficient to order supervised.

Please provide some more detailed information.

Thank you.

Father's Issues / Unexpected turn of events
Jul 06, 2007, 05:28:38 PM
The oldtimers here will probably still remember my case.

Today, there was an unexpected turn of events.

At around 10 this morning, I received a call on my cell phone from my ex. As I was in a meeting, I didn't answer. I noticed she left a brief message. Within 2 minutes my wife called. Now I knew something was up, so I stepped out of the meeting, and answered the phone.

Apparently, my 11 y.o. son had a run-in with his mother (or more than 1), and then told her that he wants to live with me. She asked him if he really meant that, which he confirmed. (He's been telling me that for the last 2 years).
At that point, she put him in the car, drove him to my home, and dropped him off. So he's with me now. I called her back tonight, and she was unusually calm, confirming that she knows now he wants to live with me, so that is what he should do.
I told her that we should let things cool off for a few days, and then we should talk again. (We will need, after all, to discuss how all that's going to work). She instantly agreed.

The sad thing is that she told him that he would never see her again. Then she grabbed his 5 y.o. (half)brother, and told them to say goodbye, because they would never see each other again.
I believe she said it in a state of anger and hurt, but I know it must have hurt him. But so far he's doing fine, he's extremely pleasant and happy, and surely doesn't want to go back.

I'll give him a few extra hugs before he goes to bed tonight.

Any suggestions on how to handle this from a legal point of view are welcome.

Thank you.

Your stories would be heart-wrenching.
Yes, would-be.
So many fathers here have endured so much worse. Reading it time after time has numbed my sensitivity.

In all your stories, the mothers lost custody due to either a technicality, or just giving up.

Most men here were not the victim of a technicality, nor did they ever give up.
They proved time after time that they were the better parent, that the mother was alienating the child(ren), was abusing the child(ren).
But they lost custody because of biased judges.

I myself lived for 3 years not knowing today if I was able to buy food tomorrow. I could have just given up, and end feeding my attorney.
I didn't. I'd rather starved to death than give up on my son. Today I share 50/50 custody with a former prostitute who admittedly (in court) took our 2 year old son with her to her customers. Just to give you a taste of bias.
If I had been a gigolo, I wouldn't even have gotten supervised visitation.

And yes, this is a website for non-custodial parents, not just fathers. I know you will get support here from everybody.

Initially, it just rubs me wrong to read how unfair the world is since a few mothers didn't get custody. Welcome to men's reality.

Father's Issues / Can I have some.....

... of whatever it is you're getting high on?

Hillary is a feminazi.

Under her first presidency th... oops, sorry, her husband's presidency, VAWA was toughened up to the extend that with any DV call, an arrest MUST be made (i.e. the male must be arrested, regardless of who assaulted who). The text of VAWA was kept completely anti-male, with the help of and lobbying  from NOW and.... yes, Hillary.

Look at what a mess she has made out of NYst.

Her refusal to meet with a local father, instead having him thrown in jail without charges just for setting foot in the building her office is - without any restraining or other order from barring him.

Yeah, let's get her elected. It will surely bring the next revolution a lot closer.
