When you eX has the children she decides how to handle the child care decision.

The eX addressing the child inappropriately, is poor parenting.

I would focus on what positive actions you can take for your child.  Going to court over different parenting styles will get you know where.

I would tackle this problem by trying to have more time with the children. (if she is agreeable).  That way you can have a positive influence on them.

lol - Remember, you got a divorce because you were not getting along.  After divorce did you realllllly think you would get along?

In other words, going from the status of married to divorce will not change the negative conflict between two parents.

To me divorce is about not having to deal with the other parent crap on a daily basis.  I now deal with crap on a bi-monthly schedule. :-)

Ohio – Class – Action:

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Margaret Mead

A class action lawsuit on behalf of "non-custodial" parents and their children has been filed against the State of Ohio for its willfull violation of millions of OHIO citizens' constitutional rights.

This moderated Yahoo discussion group is intended to serve as a place to discuss and exchange information toward Ohio's participation in this Class Action Law Suit against those who have for decades regularly violated for profit or vengeance families, childrens' rights, and (many) fathers' and (some) mothers' rights to raise their children.

Ohio has an estimated 901,429 non-custodial parents (parents whose constitutional rights have been violated) and more than 2,000,000 children who have been abused by at least one bad parent and a murder of lawyers and "social workers."

Governor Bob Taft and Attorney General Jim Petro were served on September 23.

Federal Judge Smith (http://www.ohsd.uscourts.gov/jsmith.htm) has been assigned to this case (Strohm, individually, and on behalf of all persons similarly situated v. Ohio, cause number C2 04 910).

This same Class action lawsuit has now been filed in 42 states.

This group has been started in conjunction with the Indiana Civil Rights Council (indianacrc.org).

For an Adobe PDF file of the main complaint and other related documents, look in the files section.

OCTOBER 19: RECEIVED RESPONSE from Elise Porter, assistant AG. Merely a motion to dismiss. Look in the files section for an Adobe Acrobat version of the response. I will try to find a way to reduce the file size of the memo.

NOVEMBER 8: SENT RESPONSE TODAY to State of Ohio regarding its motion to dismiss.

Custody Issues / RE: Children's Bank Accounts

Please know - I DO understand the emotional stress you are under.  If you read some of my posts, especially on other boards, I can vent with the best of them.

How much are you paying your lawyer per hour?  Lets say $200-300 hr.  The next question, how much money could there possibility in the account?

Pick your battles.

Stay focused.

*!*!* Congratulations on being able to nurture a child to adulthood!!  This is a GREAT gift indeed.  In 10 years the money issue will mean NOTHING.

Kitty C. I saw this post awhile ago and have been thinking of how to answer.  You ask a tough question,,, and in my opinion there is no good answer.  This is the best I can do.  Please read the whole loooooooong post.  Thanks :-)

>>>===<<<

I sent an email to my local PACE group asking if we could start a meeting of Father's Rights group.  It would be a get-together of dads to discuss legal and emotional issues for men going through divorce.

This is his response. (personal stuff was removed.  Yes men DO talk to other men about there problems)

Dear Bolivar,

Here is a bit of history for you. PACE used to be called FACE (Father and Children for Equality). The name change came because of the number of woman, as hard as that is to believe , that got and are getting screwed by the courts. Hence the more politically correct PARENTS came to be.

My personal thought is that any group that excludes woman or implies the exclusion by name will fail and cause an adverse effect.  We need each other. One of the strongest leaders with PACE is a woman and she was able to get us in the door with HB232 and will get this reintroduced next year.

As the chapter director in Akron, I am getting as many complaints from women as men about the problem, although gender biased plays a big role, it is mostly the ability of the judges to apply personal discretion with no direction of equality from the law. This allows for politics to enter the family courts through donations and outside court room activities.

The most important thing that can happen is the introduction and state wide support of new custody legislation for this state.

A purely Father's Rights group, NO! This problem has to be approached as Parents and we need that other half as our support. Together we will win this for the children.

I grew up in a household where dad worked at the office and mom worked at home.
Growing up my dad had his night out with the boys (golf, bowling)
Mom had her woman stuff during the day.

I think it is healthy to have "him and her" division at certain times.

If my opinion counts for anything I think you are a good woman.

That's all I got.  Your question is in par with "What is the meaning of life".  Difficult one to answer.

Custody Issues / RE: Just a thought...

TOO52SC you said - [em]When you say "if the doctor suspects something on his own" do you meen without any input from a parent or care giver.[/em]

By law a doctor who suspects child abuse must report it.  If a doctor does not report the child abuse he/she can go to jail.

TOO52SC you said - [em]".....was I realy wrong for stating to the doctor that I had these concerns."[/em]

I do NOT know all the nuances of your case, but if you spoke to the doctor it in a polite manner and were short and to the point, probability not.  With everything going on this little slip will probability not make a difference.

You also said - [em]"My attorney started to blow up at me that I shouldn't of said this"[/em]

Perhaps your lawyer feels you're venting too much in public and is trying to pull in the reigns.  Be Grateful he is so emotional about your case, I interpret his "blowing up" that he cares about your well fair.

One, of many problems I faced was my lawyer had so many cases going on, I feel he did not take the time to really understand my set of circumstances.  Therefore he was NOT able to fight very hard for me.

Custody Issues / a work of art Kitty C.!!!!

It is a work of art, a master piece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of my personal favorites in your letter.

*> .......... That is NOT continuity, that is abuse.

*> 'Couples may divorce each other, but they do NOT divorce their children. In our current court system, there is an adversarial atmosphere in regards to custody where NONE should exist.

*> When both parents walk into that courtroom, they will already know that fighting over the children will not happen, because they are BOTH equally responsible and BOTH have that right to the child, just as the child has a right to both of them.'

*> There are millions of children in this country who already feel split in two because the current judicial system does not recognize both parents as being equal co-parents to them.

And of course your last paragraph ties it all together.

*> Our children's future is on the line here. We owe it to them to make their futures as bright as possible. And if the good Lord hadn't meant for a child to have two parents, He wouldn't have created us the way He did, requiring both a male and female in order to have a child. Children need BOTH parents, want BOTH parents, and must have both in their lives consistently in order to grow up as well rounded human beings, hence God's reasoning for creating us this way. For the future of the children in your state, I urge you to seriously reconsider your stand on this issue.

I was on a website just now and an ad banner popped up. Not your normal one, as this one showed a father with a baby. It sparked my curiosity, so I clicked on it. It took me to BABY.COM. They have several videos there with fathers and their children.

Excellent work by Johnson and Johnson and I'm gonna email them telling them so.

Just thought I'd share.

Elise Castelli, Globe Correspondent try's to be a real reporter, giving both sides.

I am NOT a reporter so I am picking out one retard statements and take a dump on it.  Warning this is going to be a bias post.

Squillante  the Sh*t head said [em] "that in cases where judges determine that both parents are fit, the courts should be allowed to maintain the urgent pattern in the household to avoid disruption in children's lives."[/em]

What I am about to say may seem like common sense, but give me a chance to explain.

First, When mom and dad are together they are going to have an agreement on how to run there life TOGETHER.

Second, when mom and dad are NOT together they will need a different agreement to run the family.

So Squillante and MOST judges reasoning currently is:
If in the family unit Dad works full time in the office and mom works full time at home.  When the family unit is broken up mom becomes CP because she has been around the children the most.  Dad will work full time and pay the bills for his NEW house and Dad will pay for Moms bills to help raise the children.

Do you see the problem here?

First, dad only gets to see the children every other weekend yet pays the bills for two house holds.

Second, why is it that dad going to work counts less in the nurturing of the children than mom?

Third, the partnership no longer exists, to assume that dad wants to continue his old roll in the partnership is ludicrous.

The current system encourages the mom NOT to get along.  HOW? When mom creates havoc showing the court that Dad and Mom can NOT get along the courts will give one parent a CP status.  When the courts assign CP status -- it almost always goes to mom.
