I divorced 4 years ago and have two kids 7 and 8.  When divorced there was no inquirey into my buinsess (owner).  I pay child support as per guidlines.  My ex is now seeking more support.  Now they want to see all my buinsess records.  My business has not changed much in the last 4 years and my income is the same. Can they be stopped from looking inot my business?  What measures can I take to minimize the risk.

Provide the form that you use when filing your taxes with the IRS.

IF they want detailed records, make them get a judge to order that you provide it.

Then make them pay for the cost of providing the documents.

do not deviate from the court order.  The child support services are only interested in what you filed with the IRS.

do not provide anything more, once you do...without a court order, you breach your own confidence and privacy and you'll have to provide everything since you opened that pandora's box.
