Custody Issue in Pa

Hi
I am from the Poconos in Pa. I was wondering if anyone can help with suggestions for the following situation.

My friend was married for 14 years to this horrendous woman who didn't know how to do anything but put him down and make him feel like the lowest of low. That woman was the devil herself. She did everything from embarrass him in public, to argue with his family, to having the kids join in on his daily put downs.

He finally left more than a year ago and would love to get full custody of the children. At first, he was afraid she'd run away with them or take them away in some way but then he finally found out that she couldn't do that legally without reason having a job.

Here's where the real problem comes in. Ever since he's left, she's begged for him to come back and threatened to do all kinds of horrible things. He has gone to the house to pick up the kids and she will go into hysterics and throw all kinds of objects at him including knives. She has done this in front of the children.

She has gone into all kinds of tantrums in front of the children. Last year for every holiday he would pick up the children, she would run off for hours without a word. He would end up missing work the next day b/c of her disappearances and losing out on money that pays HER BILLS.

Finally, after all of the hysterics and harrassments, she went to his apartment and sabotaged his car and motorcycle. All this she did while her seven year old and 3 year old sat in her car and watched. He was finally able to get a PFA on her and the state filed some criminal charges on her.

Do you know after all of this nonsense, if he were to fight for custody she would still win in the end? Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way he would be more likely to win without violating any kinds of laws?

This has not been healthy for the children at all. The 13 yr old and the 7 yr old have been doing terribly in school and acting out in hysterics as they've learned from their mother.

Any suggestions at all? They have signed a custody agreement for the meantime, so she cannot deny him access to the children as she has tried to do, so at least he gets to see them but still....those kids are not going to be healthy in that environment.

If you have any suggestions please email me at [email protected]

Thanks
