How would you solve this problem?:

Situation: [/u]
Father is 20yrs old
No money – he does work full time.
One child -1year 2months old
Never married
Pays Child Support
Has court ordered visitation papers.

Problem: [/u]
Mom has denied companionship time since October because she does not like dad's friends.

My Solution: [/u]
I recommended starting with the court Mediation. Our court has a mediation section where they will draw up the papers if an agreement is reached.

One Last Note: [/u]
The father is a Good, Honest, Hard working man. However he barely has a high school degree and his reading and writing skills are poor. So the solution can not be too paper work involved.

#1 Dad should re-examine his friends and let go of any he wouldn't let his child hang out with.

#2 Dad should show up for any court ordered visitation time

#3 if Dad still gets no time with child Dad should file an OSC for contempt on BM.

in the mean time, Dad should read everything here and start educating himself. There is no better reason to get motivated to learn something than your child who needs you.
A true soldier fights, not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves whats behind him...dear parents, please remember not to continue to fight because you hate your ex, but because you love your children.

How should Dad respond to Mom's statement "I carried the child for 9 months in MY body the child is mine!! I will decide when you can visit MY child."

Until recently he has stopped showing up.  I will remind him to continue to show up and document his denied visitations.

I printed the instructions and necessary forms to file a "Motion for Contempt"

#1  How should Dad respond to Mom's statement "I carried the child for 9 months in MY body the child is mine!! I will decide when you can visit MY child."

If he is in a one party state, he needs to record her saying that the child is hers & she will decide when he can see her.
If not, have him start sending her the letter of intention to exercise his visitation, everytime. Hopefully she will respond in writing & he will have something solid to use.

#2  Until recently he has stopped showing up. I will remind him to continue to show up and document his denied visitations.

Since he has a CO, he should also ask the police to be there as a peace keeping presence, everytime, till she gets the picture. He should bring a copy of the order with him, & a copy of the letter of intent & her signed receipt. She will either give him the child, on the recommendation of the officer, or she will refuse. If she refuses, he will have the police report to bolster his case.

Good luck, tell him that I will be praying for him.

To #1, that's EASY............'Maybe you carried her in YOUR body for 9 months, but you couldn't have had her without ME!'
Handle every stressful situation like a dog........if you can't play with it or eat it, pee on it and walk away.......
