Shared Parenting Statistics?

Does anyone know where I can find statistics on states that have shared parenting laws in effect?  I believe 35 states, including District of Columbia, have shared parenting laws in effect.

I'm hoping to put statistics together on those states that do have laws implemented and how the laws have effected the state.  For instance, I cannot confirm, but have been told that when TX implemented shared parenting laws the divorce rate dropped dramatically, and crime committed by children under 14 dropped significantly.

Can someone point me to a place that has statistics on anything such as this?

Thank you!

I am going through a 50/50 costudy battle with my X wife right now.  She has custudy at this time but I have been keeping the kids more than 50% of the time for about 2 years now.  I have it documented on what days they are with me and what days with there Mom. I still pay her child support.  As quick as the petion for modification of costody was served on her she jerked the kids out from underneth me (June 28 2006).  I just wanted the continuation of the co-parenting, it seemed to work well for me and the kids (15 and 13 year old boys) The statistic for the state of TN on shared parenting would be nice to know.

I think the states are full of crap. They spout that they support shared parenting/joint custody and then they act in the opposite. Ordered parenting classes are great primers for the budding alientating parent and those who follwo the rules are penalized for being the good guy.

I am not aware of where you can locate the "statistical" lies, but I can tell you that my child has been "left behind" and it will be brushed under the carpet. It will probably be tallied as a success case and add to the list of "positive" measures they have put in place because I have given up on this lousy system and unfortunately I have to hope that my child will survive and come out okay becuase NOBODY but me and my family are pulling for this child.

Are you looking for data to support a case?

Yeah it would be kinda nice to know.  I just finished a parenting class and found it rather interesting. I am in TN, and it appears that TN is  starting to recognize that kids are better off spending equal time with there biological parents.  It seams there is a trend starting to happen in TN.  I know several people that have just recently got costudy or joint costudy of there kids.   In the class they basiclly said in the past 2 years the tables were turning for the NCP.  Any CP should be flattered that the other parent wants to be apart of there childs life.  It means so much to the other parent and even more to the child.  The class was made up with about 1/2 men and 1/2 weman 20 people in all.  I did notice that the men opened up in the class and talked about some of there issues and the women kept there mouth shut.  There were hearing things in the class that they did not want to hear.  I for one was very excited when the class was over.  I would recomend anybody going through a divorce or modifing a decree for a change in costudy to take a parenting class.  It cost me 40.00 dollars and was only 4 hours and you get a certificate. This is a feather in your hat when it comes in front of a judge.

I'm in Washington State.  I have some adversary/opposing content from DCS about percentages and male/female, non-custodial/custodial inequality.  Straight from the horses' mouths (um...hands).  See page 7.
