HAHAH! BM got her 5th ticket after court because she waited until she thought we were long gone and we waited in the back of the parking lot.

She even had a SHERIFF escort her out because she was SCARED of us (whatever) and we called her in because our lawyer told us to, an if he saw her first he would call her in.

2 squad cars pulled her over and impounded her neighbors car because she was not a valid driver.  BM drove to court all the time!!!

What state are you in?  Do you happen to have her DL#?  I am in MN and all that information is public.

I helped someone else here do a private search if you would like to PM me.

And this may not be the same in all states, but in MN, ANYONE who is hurt in a car accident is covered under their personal injury coverage (part of the car insurance).

If it is a child who is hurt, no matter WHO the driver, the child's injuries are covered under the CP's car insurance (as the child is not a member of the NCP's household).

If there is no household car insurance then the injuries are to be paid for by the other parties uninsured motorist coverage (depending upon fault I believe).

Only if there is NO other coverage through car insurance available will regular health insurance kick in.  Again, this is in MN.

The whole issue for me is that if the parent is driving without a license, they can be arrested if pulled over.  The police can (and will) put the kids into foster care -- meaning the CP may have to go to a court hearing to get their kids back, even though they have custody and it was the NCP who broke the law.  Do you really think CPS or a court will accept: "But I didn't do anything and I let the kids go anyway because I didn't want to get into a fight with NCP".  Plain and simple, as stated to us, we committed child endangerment so we didn't just let it go.

You can do what you want.  But if the kids are in foster care or I'm in jail, I'm not raising them anyway, am I?

Well, she is going to be picking SS up from his soccer game saturday, so we'll see how that goes.  The 2 games she has gone to, she had someone to drive her, so I expect she'll do the same this weekend.  I wish DH would ask her if she has a license, but he hates talking to her anymore than he has to.  And if she has a driver, he doesn't feel it's necessary to card her.  Can't really blame him though, b/c I don't talk to her if I don't have to either.
However, we invited her to SS's parent/teacher conference tomorrow, and I'm willing to bet that if she shows up she'll be driving.  I'm honestly thinking about calling her in if she does.  Haven't decided yet though, b/c I'm sure if we call her in, she'll know it was us.  And we're trying to keep the peace as much as possible at this point.
