Hi I am a mom who has custody of my 2 kids ages 4 and 8.  I know most of the posts and things here are from and for dads, but I am going crazy trying to deal with my divorce and would really like someone to talk to and to have a place where I can ask questions and get advise and so on.  I have already tried to post on the Parents website, but the only reply I got was to try here.  so here I am, does anyone mind having a mommy around?

please let me know, if it is a problem then I will try to find a site for mommies.

thanks

I think many of us here are also custodial mommies as well as Step parents and custodial and non custodial daddies, so if you you as a CP want to discuss issues on how to deal with your divorce and perhaps your ex, and are open minded and do not mind us giving you opinions on both sides of the fence then speaking for myself, I for one do not mind having you around.  I have not seen anyone on this site be turned away for any reason, but - be prepared for get advice that you may not like, however that is what makes this group so great, we all have opinions and great ideas - you just need to be open minded enough to let it all sink in and make an informed decision that best fits your situation.

I like getting different opinions on here, and I think everyone else does too.  I think it helps us all to make better decisions when we can  see both sides of an "argument".  This website is full of parents who need support and advice  dealing with split/ blended families.  As long as you have an open mind, I don't think anyone minds having you here.

Why does your profile say you're male?

I personally have no problem with you being on here - it's a public forum.  As long as your not one of those who are trying to get information on how to screw your ex.  I think most people on here believe kids should see both parents as much as possible.

"Why does your profile say you're male?"

Becasue I could not remember the PW to my first account and had moved changing my ISP.  I had to sign up with a new accuont and it ws simply an oversight that can not be corrected.  Since boith DH and I use same account I did not see it as a problem.
