Attorney insults me in writing.

My State of residence is Virginia, but jurisdicition is in Florida.

The CP's attorney has insulted me in writing by stating that "my head is not screwed on straight", and that a document I drafted "is a piece of crap." The attorney wrote this 3 years ago, and now I am getting "my head screwed on straight".

Based on this, my questions are as follows:

1) Could I sue that attorney for his remarks and win?

2) Why can an attorney make remarks like that, when pro se folks must remain "amicable"?

3) What is the SOL for filing a lawsuit against that attorney if applicable, in the State of Florida and/or where could I find it?

Thank you in advance.

Probably not. You could complain to the FL state bar, which might get the attorney in some trouble, but it won't make you any money. It's been years, so the bar likely won't take your complaint seriously.

Because you didn't complain when it happened, that's why.

Call the State Bar Association.
