Go to bottom of page, there is a form there:
Request to Close Support Case (DHS-4060)
This form is used by people who applied for child support services to request to close their case.

My computer personally won't open it, but you may have better luck.  Not sure if this will help, but it may get you started.

If not, call MNDHS, ask them what needs to be done.

Good luck!

Well, atleast she is paying...

It made no sense for DH as his attorney cost nearly $200 per/hour and that is about how much she was over paid.

She is now 7 going on 8 months behind in CS...  Which was set at minimum wage (whopping $140/month).  DH received verification from county last month that they were going to start garnishing her wages...

Nothing has come across, so my bet is that she has quit her job again...

Whatever, he works and so do I, SS's needs are being met.

He could, but he'll have to sue BM to do it.

When custody changed from 50/50 my DH paying BM CS, to him CP and she was to start paying CS, HS dispursed half of one month to her by accident.  Their fault, but they won't go after her for it.

My DH decided to let it go, would have paid a heck of a lot more in legal fees trying to get it back then just leaving it be.

I'd check with an attorney if I were you.

I know it has been a long hard road for you.

So very happy that you stuck in there for your son!

Way to go Dad!

Hey Tulip,
Wondering if you did this via attorney or Human Services?

DH went to Human Services in May (since BM was to start paying support Feb. 1), she was served the middle of June.

We have heard NOTHING!

Soooo, how is yours going?

Minnesota State Forum / Venting...

What is with this woman? (Actually I DO know what is with her, I just need to vent...)

DH has custody of YSS (5).

PBFH (boy does that fit) has parenting time Wednesday overnights, and eoweekend from Fri Night until Mon Mornings at 9:00. During the summer, she gets 2 weeks "uninterrupted time" as does DH.

THIS IS A VENT, try to follow me here...

BM took her 2 weeks in June, brought SS back a DAY late. DH let it go, because he hates fighting with her.

Monday and Thursday mornings, she has returned SS late every time this summer. Not a little late, from 1 - 2 hours late. DH has said nothing, because he hates fighting with her...

DH went out of town a couple of weekends ago. He gave PBFH the option to take SS, which technically he did not have to do, I could have taken care of SS. But DH was trying to be nice. (do you see a pattern here?)

OK, do the math, so far she is 4 days ahead this summer, and who knows how many hours since she can't get her rear out of bed in the mornings.

DH's two week time starts this weekend. BM has had SS the previous 3 weekends. She calls last night TELLING him that she is going to keep SS from Wed night until Fri night "Because she never gets to see him". Puhhhleeeze.

On a side note, on the weekends she has SS, she takes him overnight Fri, drops him off at her Mom's (hotel room, woman doesn't even have an apartment) Saturday afternoon, and picks up SS on Sunday nights, then keeps him until Monday mornings.

So, if she is so short on time with SS... WHY is she giving him to her Mom EVERY Saturday overnight she has him? Duh, because having SS cuts in on her drinking/drugs time.

Anyway, DH did tell her no. She got all pissy, and he said he had to go. (Because he doesn't like fighting with her).

I told him I was proud of him. He normally gives her her way because if he doesn't, SS suffers (Daddy is so mean to me, he doesn't love you like I do, I'm afraid to be without you, I wish you could live here and visit your Dad because he already has kids there...)

The woman is a b*tch. I can't stand her. I can't stand how she screws with SS's head, and takes advantage of DH's kindness. How in the hell am I going to be able to get through the next 13 years without telling this woman off?!

They also charge a non-welfare recipient obligee $25.00 to open a case up.

BM was to start paying CS Feb 1st, she is now 6 months in arrears.  He had to pay them $25.00 to enforce the order.

On the upside, $25.00 beats the $200 we had to pay our attorney for TRYING to enforce the order.

I don't agree with the state "reminding" everyone involved that you can get an adjustment.  This is just advertising for them.  Get more people in court, get more NCP's paying more, then THEY end up with more money too.

Minnesota State Forum / RE: BM and Habitat home
Jun 29, 2004, 11:00:55 AM
Because, in the lovely county we live in, they have Sh*t for brains!

I know a girl who also got a habitat home about two years ago in town.  She and I were friends years ago while I was going through my crazy stage (HS and soon after).

She has 3 kids from 3 guys, doesn't let any of the Father's see the kids, lives off of the system, does drugs (atleast so I am told...)  And SHE got a house that is nicer than the one that DH and I just bought.

We couldn't afford a house in town, so we had to move 40 miles outside of it, by a forclosure and gut out the entire downstairs, just to make it liveable!

Sorry to hear the BM gets handed the platter, while you both struggle.

But look at it this way.  At least you and Hubby can look yourselves in the mirror every day, because what you have has been earned!

I understand, you may want to get rid of any valuables and important papers for a while too.  Safety deposit box, or at your Mom's or something.

I know how you feel about being nervous.  BM is pissed that we won't give her the address to the house we bought until after we move.  We're renovating and ALL of hubby's tools are there and some heirloom furntiture that my Grandpa and Grandma sent.  Why does she need the address when we aren't even living there yet?

Anyway, hang in there, hopefully the drama will end soon!

They are getting her an attorney?  Are you sure she's not just blowing smoke up your backside?
