Age of Majority in AL is 19 years old
Stepson turns 17 this February and will "pre-signup" for Marine Basic Training for when he turns 18 in Feb 2008 and will go in upon High School Grad in May 2008. That leaves approx 8 month until his 19th Bday that Child Support "should" be paid for him, but if he enters the Military and is not living/being supported by his Mother, do we still have to pay or is he "emancipated" at that point.
Thanks Soc.

When the child actually begins service, he's emancipated, but you'll need the court to order support terminated.
