Title: Massachusetts Child Support

I am trying to get my gf to file for cs from her babys father.How long after she files for it will it take to actually get it? She lives in Massachusetts

Is the BF working and do you know where to serve him? When we filed, it took about 4 weeks to get into court and then another 8 to get the checks coming form CSE. (I am in a different state as you). You need to serve the other party but in our state we were able to do it by mail for child support so you will probably need his address. Bottom line..if you know his info the better :) PS Does he have visitation? Does he see child?

Depends on the situation. Hope it all works out. I would say minimum 2 months IF he has a job where it can be garnished and IF paternity has already been established.

it depends.

I have seen it take as short as a month and as long as NEVER.
