Post by: Happyno on Feb 10, 2006, 09:18:59 AM
He has a child from another relationship.  The mother of this child is married and has 2 other children.  Now, he is married and has 3 kids with his new wife.  How will cs be worked out when she leaves?

Depends on the state but usually the child support is a calculation that will be taken after the first child's child support is deducted. Example: Father makes 1000 per week, child 1 gets 100 a week. She would have her calculations start at him making 900. In my state, it is 25% of the income for two children (minus what he pays to child 1). She should go down to the child support office in her state and they will help her (it is free) or she should hire a lawyer.
