Title: Any thoughts on how to fight possible fraud re: medical issues?
Post by: scott43 on Dec 08, 2005, 09:16:16 AM
Hi,

The short story is this:

The "thing" told me I wasn't the father 6 years ago when the kid was born. Last year she filed for gov't assistance, they found me, I took the test, and I am the father. - BUT....in her petition, she states that she cannot work due to medical issues, so I end up paying WAY TOO MUCH monthly. SHE IS LYING. I don't even think they questioned her when she told them she can't work.

How do I go about having this looked into?

Thanks in advance

You'll have to take her back to court and ask that her income be imputed and ask that she PROVE that she can't work due to medical reasons.

Tricky -- and I suggest you hire an attorney.
