Title: Buy yours today...
Post by: FatherTime on Apr 06, 2007, 05:57:52 PM
It's too bad I'm across country from this guy.  I'd buy a box of cigars, they'd read "It's a Bribe."  (it's a boy...it's a girl)

I wish that I could buy one of these.

When we were searching for an attorney to represent my fiance, one guy we met with tried to "sell" us with the fact that he lived down the street from the judge who was handling our case, and "had dinner with him all the time".  I don't know if the guy really is friends with the judge, or if the judge is the type of person who would allow friendships to sway his opionions (I hope not), but just the fact that he would use that as a selling point saddened me.

I hope this guy pays for what he's done to people.

Actually, in my experience, knowing the judge isn't always a benefit. The more honest judges bend over backwards to ensure that they're NOT being biased by their friendship.

Of course, it DOES usually ensure that you will be heard- just not that you'll get the result you want.
