My boyfriend got a DUI a year ago. Can his ex use this to keep him from getting full or joint custody??? He did NOT have his son with him.
It happened right after he found out she was cheating on him.

probably
don't admit to it unless directly asked in court or thru an interrogatory or disposition.
If he asked for court supervision, it may be off his record. Go down to the county court house, they have a public computer where you can view public records. This includes driving citations. See if it comes up. While your there, check hers...

It can certainly be an issue if the other parent is claiming that he has a problem with alcohol and, in other circumstances it has affected his parenting. The DUI would just be evidence to support that contentiion.
It most certainly will not benefit him or his chances.
