I am going totrial next Tuesday - after almost 2 years and over $50,000 spent in attorney fees. I have been taken on every turn. I now represent myself because I cannot afford an attorney. I was hoing I would call a psychologist to say my ex is crazy, but he says she is not. Now I am looking at losing residential custody (because I live in Wisconsin and she is in Chicago) to a truly crazy woman. The things she says about me and the way she is so scattered really scares me. I am truly lost and need help. Anyone know any tricks on how I can get the court to say I am the better parent and award me residential custody?
Illinois sucks. How long have you had residential? Has the child been doing well in your care?
Here is a site that might help you on wording and objections for the State. Also do your homework on the statues.

We have a wonder of a saint named Dear Socrateaser, follow his mandated quidelines. He can help you, but you will need to post what you are up agaisnt. Not much info in your post here.
If anyone here knew any tricks on being awarded residential, we would not be here. Calling the psychologist was not a good idea. There is a section here in the archives on how to handle yourself thru evaluations.
You need to post more of what you are up agaisnt. I have accumulated many, many case laws for Illinois, if your interested.
