Title: Child Care and Payments
Post by: bleedgreen on Nov 14, 2012, 11:16:04 AM
Hi

At what age should child care end?  I'm more looking for a consensus, I have read that its on the discretion of the court.  I am the Non Custodial Father that's continuing to pay for a "baby sitter" (neighbor of the children) in addition to a support payment but my girls are now 15 (just turned) and 12.  Aren't girls that age looking after other people's children?

Thanks for any help you can provide

Depends on state law. My state has no age and it is up to the parent and if the child feels comfortable staying home alone. Most places only take children up to 12/13 years old (daycare center or after school program). Are you paying the neighbor directly? Are the children really there and not going to their house?
