If I lived in PA, I'd be the first to sign. It should be 50/50 from the start, until proven otherwise.

Already have and told them to pass along to everyone they know.

All states should go for it.

Granted I have never read the Pa statues but the statues I have read already presume joint custody.

At least that is what I believed being naive and ignorant of government intervention concerning parent-child relationships until I learned of the  favored and encouraged bias and prejudiced gender specific standards and practices.

Further I believe a majority of our culture understands and acknowledges that BOTH fit parents are extremely important to a child's life.  Generally speaking, when government thinks it needs to interfere then CHILDREN would be BEST SERVED if the standards and practices automatically favored that other gender.

In short, I strongly urge that our culture stop petitioning with pretty please requests (asking) and start DEMANDING (telling) government follow the U.S Constitution and the statues in order to protect all children and adults.

Is everything ssa sdrawkcab ??

Well, we live in PA, and I've been bugging my state Rep and Senator Rick Santorum about the importance of presumed joint custody....in ALL states.  And I'm happy to sign petitions regarding PA, but unfortunately our son's case is in VT.

hi

is the money the state receives for collecting child support for every singel dollar each state processes through the disbursement unit and collects the feds give the state an equal amount (incentive programs)

$$$$$$ for $$$$$$$ match

if the state awards 50 /50 custody for cases of all fit parents it would lose millions of dollars a year.

My 10 cents...

I could not have said that better myself!

Even evaluators take this into consideration....

My husband and I just signed the petition - we are getting ready to apply for joint physical custody - he currently has joint legal of his 4 children (from California). We have moved to the same school district and are going to try to get this moving without our attorney as the money we have to spend on an attorney is needed more for the children!

Great Petition!
