Hey guys,

Wanted to give you an update. (pls see post on general board for more info)

On saturday she came home briefly and explained that she and the bf were no longer together because I would not allow her to stay the night with him. During this rather heated discussion (ok it was a full blown knock down drag out fight) the bf called to tell her he was packing her stuff up. If he couldn't have her stay with him he "had" to break it off with her becasue it was too hard on him watching her leave every night.
She left home. She chose him. I cried all night, and I had to do that at work!

Today after I got to all her friends and they bombarded her with calls, she came to the realization he was forcing her to choose between him and her family. She doesn't want to loose her family, and she doesn't want to loose him. But somewhat does understand if she stays with him she will give up all of us.

Today my other daughter (formally known as the brat) picked her up and took her to my mothers. She told the bf that he is not good boyfriend material, Especially for Her Sister!!!

For tonight she is safe. Tomorrow is another story and I hope she will continue to see the light.

So please continue to pray she ends her relationship with this thug.

I think that having her friends and the brat talk to her is a good idea.  When a guy is that possessive, and wants to isolate his "girlfriend" from her friends and family, it's a warning sign that he's a potential abuser.  I can really understand why you're frantic.

You might want to encourage your daughter's friends to keep enlightening her!
