Title: Summer visitation: i want to do the right thing
Post by: kimwri0123 on Jun 08, 2008, 08:59:38 AM
Non custodial mom living in arkansas wants to know if it is my responsibility to make sure my 14 yr old son goes to gymnastics practice 3 days a week from 5:30 to 8:00 pm during my 6 wk summer visitation. First of all let me say that i asked him if he wanted to attend, and he said no, the only reason that he goes during school is because stepmom keeps him grounded while dad is off working a month at a time and it gets him out. Normally I wouldnt have a problem with cooperating, but we live an hour away and i work till 5:30 everyday, i just dont think its possible, not to mention the cost associated with this expectation. There is nothing in our orders that state this, but i dont want it to come back and bite me later.

Do you do a "long distance" plan or a close distance plan?

I'd say nope, don't worry about it if SON isn't worried about it.
