It was attached to a large box of fresh oranges; had a simple child-like drawing of an angel on the front; inside it simply said "Merry Christmas". But the best part was the handwritten inscription from sd's maternal aunt and uncle:
"Dear dh & thair,
Thanks so much for giving sd the kind of family she deserves. I've seen such a change in her. She's happy, has direction, and most of all loves being a part of your family."
:) I keep reading it over and over....... that handwritten inscription will always be my favorite Christmas present of my entire lifetime......

It would be mine too. How kind and thoughtful of Maternal Aunt and Uncle to write such a poweful and kind letter to you.
Just to show that no matter what, other family members want what's best for the children.
