Hello,
I need advice on where to even start. I am an un wed father whom lives in California, and my son lives in Wisconsin with his Mother. I travel to see him once a month. The mother is very difficult and an emotional wreck. I believe I could do a much better job parenting this child. However, he is only 2 years old so would it be detrimental to him to fight for full placement? I need help on where to look for info on the whole out-of state issue. I feel very issolated in this case. Help!
Thanks in advance.
This will get you started.

One of the first things you'll hear around here is "Document, document, document!". Having good records is *crucial*. Get yourself either the Parenting Time Tracker (PTT) at: http://www.deltabravo.net/custody/tracker.htm or the OPTIMAL Custody Tracking service at: http://www.parentingtime.net. The PTT is good, but the OPTIMAL service is definitely better.
First the wisconsin fathers group is //www.wisconsinfathers.org
second look up relevant statutes //www.legis.state.wi.us
particularly statutes # 948.31 and EVERYTHING in statute # 767
and statute # 968.31
the third site is //www.wcca.wicourts.gov this site has relevant court info like if she or anyone she runs around with has a court record.
These 3 sites and SPARC have helped us more than our attorney!!
