Title: question on ex changing mediation dates to avoid meeting
Post by: United on Jan 07, 2004, 07:33:10 PM
Hello there,

We have spent the past 2 years obtaining an order to return to mediation (for custody changes) in California. We have had a date on the calendar for the past 2 months.  So today my ex calls and says she is pushing it out - again.

Are there rules regarding changing mediations dates?  I'm frustrated.

Thanks!

Your order should have a date by which mediation should be complete. If not, then inform your ex that if she cannot meet for mediation within the next ?? days (reasonable time), that you will return to court and ask the judge to order a date on grounds that your ex is intentionally frustrating your exercise of custody against the child(ren)'s best interests.
