Title: attorney licensure
Post by: hlpnoutdhiam on Feb 03, 2004, 09:44:43 PM
Hello.

I have found out that our attorney has "voluntarily" resigned from our state bar with charges pending (I'm going to be finding out what these charges are)...10 years ago.  He, however, represented us in another state and I don't know how to find out if he's actually licensed in THAT state.  He represented us in Oklahoma (where my dh's child lives).  I tried looking up his name in the Oklahoma State Bar, but they don't list all licensed attorneys nor do they list their status.  They only list contact info for the attorneys that have given permission to be listed.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

There must be a governmental agency in OK that keeps license information. Call a different attorney from that State and ask them how to get the record. I'm sure that you can get this for free.
