Title: Copies of insurance statements?
Post by: dipper on Jun 08, 2005, 08:27:26 PM
Soc,

DH is the NCP, and the insurance carrier for his son. DH has never sent copies of the insurance stmts before, there had never been a request for them before, and we have found nothing that says it is necessary.

Is the ncp (or whoever pays the insurance and carries the policy) responsible for giving the other parent a copy of the statements?

Thank you!

If there's something in the court order that would give the other party a claim that could be proven by obtaining the insurance statements, then those statements would be discoverable evidence, should a party filea a motion for relief and then request production of the documents.

Otherwise, unless the court order specifically instructs you to provide the statements to the other party, then, no, there's no duty to produce the statements.
