My attorney is due to go to court today for custody and support. What does it mean when he says he's "seeking an adjournment?"

I have no idea. An adjournment could be a temporary postponment of the case, or it could mean a dismissal of the case. You aren't giving me any facts about your case, so I can't really give you any better info than this.
