Title: CP precludes me from calling my child on his cel phone
Post by: 416021va on Jun 26, 2006, 05:56:26 AM
Pursuant to my notifying CP that they would be recorded, and not permitting my child to use his phone while at my residence, CP has decided that I am not free to call my child on his cel phone but only on CP's house phone.

I am guessing that CP has a right to do this, and it probably won't make much of a difference as long as I can reach my child, but I am just curious.

My questions are as follows:

1) Can CP preclude me from calling my child on his cel phone?

Thanks SOC!!

You have the power to license child to use a cell phone provided by you. The other parent can't permanently deprive the child of the physical device, but thet parent has the power to refuse the child license to use the phone while in that parent's care.

So, as a practical matter, the answer is yes, the CP can preclude you from calling your child on his cell phone.
