Title: Attempting to Organize an Online Chat Event
Post by: Dr. Jen on Jul 27, 2004, 01:19:34 PM
Thanks to those of you who are contributing to the message boards.  I am looking at organizing an online chatroom event sometime in August.  Before I can do this, I need to have an idea of what time zones you are all in.  I'm thinking we may need to organize two or three different chats to accommodate time zone differences.  You can email me your time zone info privately or post to the board.  Thanks!

Gentle journeys,
Jennifer

cannot get into this chatroom, nowhere, nohow.  I even had to reformat my computer and still can't get in.  Others have had similar issues and several of us can't use the chat.  I would also like to join your chat event since I have been there done that, but unless the chat room problem is solved I won't be able to.  I am in MDT zone.

It would help us considerably if you told us what kind of error you're seeing, or what happens when you try to login.

The most common problems are cookies and/or HACK not enabled, the clock time on your PC is incorrect, or you may be using a pop-up blocker.

Make sure you have cookies and HACK enabled. This accounts for about 50% of the problems.

Disable any pop-up blocker you may be using.

Make sure your PC's time and date are correct.

am not in chat. I just keep "looping" to the login screen even thought my name is in chat. It appears that I am in chat with my name, but I cannot actually get in there.  My login name remains in chat until I log off.  The only thing mentioned above is that I have Stopzilla installed.  I will disable Stopzilla tonight at home and attempt to log into chat and actually chat.

That's probably it. When you login, the chat room appears in a new window.

I'll be posting chat days and times by the end of this week.  (Sept. 3)   We'll be doing weekly chats in the evening and early morning.   Please check out the Chat Room to ensure you know how to access and use it so you'll be ready to meet with us when we get going!  :-)

Loving and living,
