Title: Support Enforcement as a way of paying child support
Post by: JeremyP on Jun 13, 2005, 07:59:22 PM
How would the non-custodial parent go about setting up either garnish of wages or support enforcement to pay child support? Over the past 3 years I have just mailed my ex wife a check and I decided to go a different route now to protect my self. But I don't know how to go about this...

How did you determine the amount to pay your Ex wife?

Was it via a divorce agreement?

Did the two of you come up with a mutually agreeable amount?

I again would recommend NOT to go through a Support Agency.  We do and deal with miscalculations at least once a year.

I know other people on this board are not paying through an Agency and are protected.  Hopefully someone else can give you insight as to their scenario.

just realized I posted the same question twice here! oops!
the amount I pay is court ordered and in  the divorce agreement.
