Title: Contacting the EX
Post by: Marie in CA on Jan 23, 2004, 03:16:27 PM
Would anyone have suggestion on how my fiancee should go about restarting comunication with his ex wife? He has not seen his daughter sincec 2001. He would like to start the supervised visitation (agreement in mediation. Their ageement also alowed for futher time with his daughter through written parental agreement) He has so far been unable to start the visitation due to his limited financial resources (Supervised Visits are very costly) and also his ex being very uncoperative with the visitation arangements. He would like to contact his ex and let her know he intends to exercise his visitation, and also request he be allowed to speak with their daughter on the phone.

What is the best way to do this? Should this letter be sent to his ex's attorney or to the ex with a copy to her attorney?

Thank's for any help provided!!!!!

and on the first go around, skip the attorney.

Send it "priority confirmed delivery" with a request to get things started.

If you don't hear from her, then send it certified returned receipt with a first class copy to the attorney.

If you don't hear from her then, contact the attorney to see what's up.

And then go to the courts with all of your letters.
