Hi Everyone,

I have met with my State Senator. She is drafting legislation regarding CPS laws and ways to reduce expenses. I have presented them with the issue of how a false accusor in NJ does ot get punished. The Senator wants to put in legislation to punish false accusors.

She has asked me to compile the following for her by next week:


1) A list of at least 5 states that really punish false CPS accusors.

2) The link and/or statute of the law.

3) The laws wording.

4) A copy of the bill proposing why it was necessary to do.


and for an added bonus,


4) If the state claims that the law punishing false accusors has had a positive effect on reducing false charges.


I am reaching out to all my friends here for help. I do not have the time to research this with a lot of states. This weekend is my parenting weekend and I will only have the time they are asleep to do any research.

Sounds like a great opportunity to at least raise awareness, if not make changes.

There's a Yahoo group called "Dads in Family Court" that has many knowledged folks on it, the moderator included.

I suggest that you join that group and post your questions.  You're bound to get some answers.
