Title: sound bite transcription
Post by: kitten on Aug 10, 2004, 08:35:12 PM
Hi there!
My bf has harassing vm's from his ex that his attorney wants to use in court, but she says they need to be transcribed.  I'm pretty good with the computer and would like to transcribe the vm's myself.  Any advice on the best way to format them for the judge?

Yes, hire a certified court reporter to transcribe the message. If you don't, the judge can refuse to admit the recording into evidence.

You could do it on your own, but for the couple hundred you will save, you may end up shooting yourself in the foot.
